DID YOU KNOW: In 1986, only 14% of women in the U.S. were getting mammograms. The test existed, and it worked, but Medicare didn’t cover it so it wasn’t part of a routine visit.

Similarly, we are pushing to pass the Alzheimer’s Screening & Prevention Act — because early detection changes everything.

Today, simple blood tests can detect Alzheimer’s before any symptoms appear. If approved by the FDA for screening — just like 40 years ago, Medicare cannot cover the costs because Congress hasn’t yet given permission.
