With the cold weather here please remember safety when using space heaters to stay warm! Caregivers check on your patients and ensure if they are using space heaters that you and they are keeping these safety tips in mind! Safety 1st!

1. Don't leave unattended
2. Before using inspect for damage
3. Plug directly into outlet, don't use extension cords or power strips
4. Keep at least 3 ft away from flammables like furniture & curtains
5. Test your smoke alarms and carbon dioxide alarms monthly
6. Only use space heaters as intended
7. Turn off and unplug when not in use
8. Keep cords clear from walking paths to avoid falls

If you need a smoke alarm call your local fire department non emergency number, most will come and install a smoke detector free of charge to those in need 😁
