This week’s spotlight is Genisse Gonzalez, our outgoing Chapter President — and the final spotlight of the year! 🐊💙
What a way to close out the season. Genisse has led our chapter with heart, vision, and an unwavering commitment to building a community where every member feels seen, supported, and valued. Under her leadership, APhA-ASP Gainesville became a space where leaders truly uplift leaders — and her impact will be felt long after her term ends.
Her “why” comes down to this: APhA-ASP gave her purpose and belonging from day one, and as President, she made it her mission to ensure every member, chair, and executive board member experienced that same sense of community. Swipe to read more!
Thank you, Genisse, for an incredible year of leadership. 🤍

This week’s spotlight is no other than Jaylee Rodriguez, our VP of Finance!🩵💰

Jaylee is the reason our chapter can dream big and actually make it happen. Her fundraising and budget leadership help power every operation, event, and initiative we put on throughout this school year and will continue beyond!

She started as a Member at Large, and has grown into a leader who brings both creativity and consistency to everything she does, from Global Gala to launching Chalk Walks as Mental Health Chair. Her “why” is simple: APhA-ASP gave her a space to grow, lead, and build friendships she will carry far beyond pharmacy school.

This week’s spotlight is Dina Krijestorac, our VP of Local Patient Care!

Dina leads APhA-ASP projects that reflect how APhA-ASP shows up for members of our local communities. Dina also championed one of our strongest Great Gator Health Fest events yet, bringing our chapter’s mission to life through education, screenings, and community impact.

Her “why” comes down to this: she joined for the people who inspired her, and stayed for the chance to grow, serve, and help move our profession forward! Swipe to read more!

This week’s spotlight is Tracy Pham, our VP of Policy!

Tracy joined APhA-ASP for the breadth of opportunities. She wanted to explore different areas of pharmacy, connect with people across specialties, and find where her interests truly fit. Along the way, she found a passion she did not expect: policy and advocacy!

If you have ever felt unsure what path you want to take in pharmacy, Tracy is your reminder that getting involved can help you figure it out!

This week’s spotlight is our very own VP of International, Tauja Foreman! 🌍💙

Tauja’s “why” is all about bringing people together across cultures, perspectives, and a shared purpose, and she has done exactly that through her leadership and the community she’s helped build in our chapter.

As part of her initiatives, Tauja is at the helm of bringing APhA-ASP and IPSF’s biggest end of year celebration supporting the Rural Women’s Health Project, the 2026 Global Gala. Tickets are on sale now, link is in the bio, and they go up to $30 on April 1, so grab yours now!

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙✨

This month, our chairs wanted to take a moment to spotlight colorectal cancer and help raise awareness about this common yet often preventable disease.

Awareness has the power to save lives. Through education, early detection, and regular screening, we can help more individuals recognize symptoms sooner, seek care earlier, and improve outcomes for those affected.

Together, let’s continue to advocate for prevention, support ongoing research, encourage screening, and stand with every person and family impacted by colorectal cancer.

Byrell joined APhA-ASP early and found his place through patient care, advocacy, and the freedom to explore the full scope of pharmacy while growing as a leader. His “why” is all about momentum, community, and making the most of every opportunity.

And stay tuned because you can catch Byrell THIS WEEKEND as he takes over our Instagram to bring you along to 2026 APhA Annual Meeting in LA! 🌴📲

This week’s spotlight is Parshan Marvasti, our very own VP of Communications!📣

Parshan is a nationally recognized leader of our chapter (PharmFlix shoutout!🎬🏆) and he stayed involved with APhA-ASP because he loves building community, amplifying student voices, and helping our chapter show up with purpose.
