❤️ Have your best birth, with every and any unexpected change of plans.
When a mother has been planning for her beautiful Hypnobabies birth center birth for her whole pregnancy and then at 40 weeks has her blood pressure skyrocket which means she needed to be induced and in the end risked out of her dream birth in the birth center; there’s a few things as a Hypno doula you do....
1. Meet them at the hospital, walk in with them and help them ask plenty of questions to the wonderful nurses and her midwife so she completely understands what her options are and what the plan is.
2. You set up a plan for her and her birth partner/ dad to listen to the track called fear clearing. (mom felt such calmness listening to this track she chose to listen to it over and over for multiple hours during her slow and gentle induction).
3.You also have her listen to strengthen my waves track during her gentle induction. Which lead to literally no induction meds after 7:30am. Baby was born at 3:47pm. With Hypnobabies and her body working so well together she didn’t have to have more induction meds and was able to enjoy her body’s own hormonal waves.
4. You have birth partner/ dad read to her the change of plans script and when he texts you and says she is laughing at me, you tell him that it is pretty normal and keep going😊. Later you find out she really liked him reading the script to her. The visualization of boxes helped her cope.
5. You support and love the heck out of them. We danced, we clown walked, we squatted, I read birth prompt after birth prompt to her with the relaxation music playing out loud because she said that seemed to be helping her more than the tracks ( which shocked her) .
6. When her cervix says 4-5cm and her body language and primal tone says transition/transformation you surround her with so much support and tell her she doesn’t give birth by numbers and her body is telling us more than her cervix ever can.
7. 13 minutes later after that check, you hold her up while she stands to push out her son straight into her arms .
8. You tell her and her husband how amazing they both did and how honored you are to support them.
