For our patients that have been fit with the newer Phonak Infinio Sphere or the Infinio R devices, there is a Firmware update for the newer Ultra features.

Please call the office at 703-850-2450. If you would like to just have the firmware update done and no other services, it would still be best to schedule a time, but there is no visit fee. If you need a visit for cleaning it will be $30, but a hearing aid check will be $59.

Where in the world is my Audiologist??? Well, over 200 Audiologists spent Thursday, September 24th walking around the House and Senate buildings lobbying for Medicare Direct Access.

What does that mean? Well, currently in the Medicare world, Audiologists are labeled as “Suppliers” and if we can get the label updated to “Practitioners,” Medicare beneficiaries will be able to see an Audiologist directly. Right now, if someone with Medicare wanted an initial hearing test, they have to get a referral from their P*P or other Medicare physician.

Catie, Jessica and I celebrated the 1st year of new ownership with our friend Steven from Oticon. We missed having Vanessa with us. She has young girls at home to be present for. It’s had its ups and downs, but we love our patients and our reps that visit and support us.
