Extreme Dance Company is the largest inclusive dance organization at UF! We have performances at the end of each fall and spring semester.

Extreme Dance Company is a dance group committed to bringing a creative breath of life to UF! We are an innovative dance company consisting of different levels based on technique ability. Auditions are held at the beginning of each fall and spring semester for returning members and current UF students. This is a collaboration of all choreography learned throughout the semester, including contempor

ary, jazz, musical theater, hip-hop, modern, tap and ballet styles of dance. It's a great way to meet new people and DANCE! This page is for all friends, family, or anyone else that wants to be involved in any way or just to find out info and updates, not just the dancers! :)

As we are just about a month out from the start of the school year and our fall auditions, let's formally introduce our officers for this year, starting off strong with our recruitment chair, Mariah!

She'll be leading our tabling sessions and recruiting as many new members as possible! She'll also be responsible for our XO pairings and bringing together our new & returning members!

Come join us for our last (but certainly not least) technique of the summer, hosted by Rachel! She'll be teaching a fusion of contemporary, jazz and hip hop in a fun combination to "La La La" by Sam Smith! Rachel's a fantastic choreographer, and she always has something good up her sleeve!

If you're in Gainesville and looking for something to do during the week, come join us for our summer movie night! Our president, Rachel, will be our hostess with the mostest for the evening, and she'll be providing pizza and snacks for everyone!

Exciting news! One of our recently-graduated alumni, Kate Schwitz, founded her own salsa company () during her time at UF and will be hosting summer salsa classes!

These classes will be in a four-week series held on Saturdays from 5-6pm, and they will alternate between being on Zoom and being hybrid. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to learn from Kate, she is an amazing salsa choreographer, and she also breaks down the steps really well. Not only is this a great opportunity to try a new style of dance, but she also has a very generous offer for Extreme members! Join us tomorrow for another technique - this time, another one of our awesome A1 choreographers, Isa, will be hosting a contemporary technique teaching a combo to the song "In Love with a Memory" by SASAMI and Clairo!

Join us this Saturday, July 12th from 12-1 pm for a virtual technique class with Baylie, our VP and one of our A1 choreographers! Baylie will be leading a warmup followed by teaching a short lyrical-contemporary combo to 'Daylight' by David Kushner.

Don’t worry about having enough room to dance, as this combo is very small-space friendly! This is the perfect way to slowly get back into the swing of things while in the comfort of your own home!

Join us this Saturday for a pool party social to kick off the Summer B semester! We'll be hanging out at the Legacy at the Standard pool!

There is no parking at the complex, but there is limited street parking nearby, so please plan accordingly! You can enter the building through the main lobby doors, and an officer will be there to let you into the pool area.

Food and drinks will not be provided, but certainly feel free to bring your own to share! If you have any questions, you can direct them to our lovely co-costume chair and hostess, Laura (DM us for her number/with any questions)! We hope to see you there! 🌊👙☀️

Come join us for our next summer technique class with Divya tomorrow night! She will be teaching a bharatanatyam class, which is a style of South Indian classical dance. She will be going over footwork, hand movements, and technique, followed by a fun and upbeat combo. This is a great opportunity to learn a new style of dance, and we hope to see you there!

Join us for a sunset picnic social tomorrow evening at Lake Alice! We'll be watching the bats fly out and enjoying the outdoors together.

Our president Rachel will be bringing some snacks, but feel free to bring some of your own if you'd like! Also bring a towel/blanket to sit on!

We are so back with summer techniques! Join us this Thursday, May 22 for a jazz class with ! She will be teaching technique for half the class and a jazz combo during the rest! She'll be going over the skills we require for our auditions, so this is a great chance to get some extra practice in and learn some additional tips regarding technique before the fall! All levels are welcome, and this class is open to both returning and prospective Extreme members!
