Cancer Connections Meetings held at HealthStreet PLEASE REPLY TO BARB THOMAS AT bnbbarb@gmail.com. I am an ACS volunteer.

"Cancer Connections" meetings are held from noon to one, usually on the fourth Wednesday of each month (this may vary). Presentations are given by healthcare professionals who treat or provide a service to cancer patients, survivors, and/or their caregivers. Topics are diverse, and include: oncology nutrition, physical therapy for cancer patients, cancer genetics counseling, acupuncture for cancer pain/nausea relief, home healthcare, environmental links to cancer, survivorship programs, fertility counseling, vitamin D/breast cancer links, help in finding healthcare resources, Hospice services, etc.

Cancer Connections is all about bringing together in one place a diverse group of area cancer care professionals and interested lay-people, including nurses, hospital social workers, oncologists, U.F. researchers, therapists, home healthcare representatives, support group representatives, survivors and caregivers. Anyone who is involved in the care or treatment of cancerpatients/survivors/caregivers, or who provides a service to them, as well as interested survivors, is welcome to join us for networking opportunities.
