Some words from our Lead Teacher Daisy about her specialty A Whale’s Take Yinyasa + Nidra class 😌
“I’ve always been in awe of, and hade a deep affinity to whales.
Several years ago I was able to visit Hawaii while the humpback whales were migrating there from Alaska. I was blessed with many close encounters with these magnificent beasts, including one life changing experience where a trio of whales surrounded my paddleboard, coming within an arm’s width distance, and then sharing their company for hours.
If I had a spirit animal, it would be a humpback whale. These creatures are able to move their humongous bodies so gracefully they hardly make a ripple in the water, or leap with such power that the sound of their bodies returning to the sea make sounds that echo of the mountains.
Whales do not have vocal chords, they sing their unique songs by moving air through their bodies.
In this class, we will move slowly and strongly through a whale themed flow, then coming to the earth for Yin Yoga & Whale Nidra.
Expect cool temperatures, a whale song playlist, and special lights that create and underwater paradise.”
