When my daughter was 4 (the wisest age a person could be), we were at a wedding and several friends of the groom were bouncing around singing, "shots, shots, shots." My wisened four year old looked at me and pondered, "I know they are important to be healthy, but Mama, why would you sing and dance a...

Two Sweet Pop-Ups are on the way!

Iโ€™m quite salty in my taste preferences. It's a survival tactic in steamy Florida. Yet, since early November Iโ€™ve required a daily dose of marshmallows in my afternoon cafecito. Being me, I decided I had to learn more about why those magical fluffs of sugar and tapioca have been such a panacea. ...

Ok Gainesville, you need to know that UF is planning on a full in person schedule for spring semester. I think that means around 30,000 undergrads descending on our town.

This semester has not shown any promise that they will respect local health and safety (just check my feed from last weekend). In fact, they are flat out lying about evidence of safety and not being transparent at all.

This is not happening at SF or other state schools. This is UF - not DeSantis, but DeSantis can stop this if we speak up.

Please sign and share. Our community numbers have gone way up since UF reopened, and campus is still a ghost town.

Again, Iโ€™m taking about tens of thousands of the highest carriers of Covid with the least to loose.

Ps, This is not like k-12 reopening. These โ€œkidsโ€ do not live with their parents.

The first time I swam i...

Our Story

At Sanctuary we believe in the natural intelligence of the human body, mind, and heart. It is our work to create classes that support their innate capacity for healing; for wellness. Our teachers are experienced and educated in yoga, meditation, movement, human performance, therapeutics, and the beautiful art of living.

Wellness is a process, and crafting a wellness practice is individual and instinctive. We are dedicated to the practice of yoga as a tool for building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through strength, flexibility, and body awareness, as well as satisfying the need for relaxation and stress reduction with compassion and joy.

At Sanctuary, we encourage the creation of wellness from within.
