I spend an inordinate amount of time cultivating the clematis in my garden. I donโt have to help it grow, not even a bit. I have to keep it from devouring everything else and that is no small effort. A worthy effort for certain, because every year when summer is at its depth, it blooms as if to let me know, โthis too shall pass.โ

As you stroll in to the studio this week I encourage you to pause and enjoy the fragrance. It is not like a heady honeysuckle or jasmine. It is crisp and bright like fall. If you lean in a bit, you will also get to see the electric blue bees pause for a hot second. They are truly dazzling.

I have a long standing pigeon pose rant. It was never meant to be a passive pose, and all to often it is taught in a way that it literally hangs off the joints of the pelvis. Itโs not the movement that is the problem, but the emphasis that we give that movement. I love coming up with other options, and here is a particularly fun one we played with last week.
