Farm labor supervisors play an important role in maintaining safe, fair, and productive agricultural workplaces. The Farm Labor Supervisor Training Program, offered through UF/IFAS Extension, helps supervisors better understand the responsibilities that come with leading a farm workforce.

The program provides training on key topics including wage and hour regulations, anti-discrimination and harassment laws, pesticide safety, and vehicle and driver safety. By strengthening knowledge in these areas, supervisors can help ensure agricultural operations remain compliant while protecting the health and safety of their workers.

Programs like this help support stronger agricultural workplaces across our region. Learn more at https://loom.ly/rzSvlnU.

Spring planting season means tractors, implements, and equipment are heading back into the fields. Before the work begins, take time to inspect machinery and address potential hazards.

Check that guards and shields are in place, confirm lighting and signals are functioning properly, and review safety procedures with anyone helping on the farm this season.

A few minutes of preparation can help prevent injuries during one of the busiest times of the year. Learn more about equipment safety at https://loom.ly/vP4TkcU.
