1 cup mushrooms or zucchini, finely chopped (optional)
1 tbsp coconut aminos
½ cup beef bone broth

½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp rosemary

1–2 tbsp ghee or butter (optional)
Splash of coconut milk or almond milk
Sea salt
Cinnamon (optional – just a pinch, SO good with beef)
---
⭐ INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make the sweet potato topping
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
2. Add cubed sweet potatoes and cook until fork-tender (about 12–15 minutes).
3. Drain and mash with:
ghee/butter
splash of coconut/almond milk
sea salt
optional pinch of cinnamon
4. Set aside.
---
2. Make the meat filling
1. In a large skillet, brown your beef/bison/venison over medium heat.
2. Add diced onion, carrots, garlic (and mushrooms or zucchini if using).
3. Cook until veggies are softened.
4. Add seasonings + coconut aminos + bone broth.
5. Let everything simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.
---
3. Assemble
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Spread the meat mixture into a baking dish.
3. Spoon the mashed sweet potato on top and smooth with a spatula.
4. Use a fork to create little “ridges” on the potatoes — they get golden brown.
---
4. Bake
Bake 25–30 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Let rest 10 minutes before serving so it sets.
