Please welcome Operation Catnip as a new Safe Place in Alachua County! Our Safe Place sites offer youth in crisis immediate help and safety - and now they can even find a little comfort by spending time with a cat while they wait!

We appreciate everything Operation Catnip does for the community, and we think it's a purr-fect fit! 😸

We are honored for this title and hope that all feel welcome and safe at our building in the Historic Duckpond neighborhood! Thank you to Joy from CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services Inc. for providing us the proper training to help better serve our young community members in need, and giving us this paw-some sign to display.♥🩺

We are so excited to be partnered with such a fantastic organization, and be a part of something bigger than our state's borders. Every person matters, no matter their age, and we are here to provide the proper resources if you need assistance beyond Community Cats and Kittens. 🌈🐾

When one of our Interface-Gainesville participants, affectionately nicknamed “Chuck Master,” lost his tooth, he was heartbroken that the Tooth Fairy didn’t show up right away. Thanks to the quick teamwork of our staff, the mix-up was fixed with a special visit from Tiny Toothster, complete with a note and $5 under his pillow. Chuck Master's joy lit up the room as he ran around shouting, “She came - look, look!” and even wrote a thank you note back to his fairy friend.

During the Amazing Give on April 30th, your donation supports the caring staff, safe spaces, and everyday magic that help children feel seen and valued. Please give what you can and be part of turning sadness into joy for kids like Chuck Master.

We had a wonderful time celebrating an incredible leader as Phil Kabler, our CEO, officially begins his well-earned retirement! Thank you to everyone who came out to the retirement party to share stories, laughter, and appreciation.

We are so grateful for the years of dedication, vision, and impact Phil has brought to this organization and our community. The legacy Phil leaves behind will continue to guide and inspire us.

It’s my honor and privilege to represent CDS at the Annual Putnam County Fair for a second night this week! Come have some fun at the fair and stop by the booth I’m working at to get information about our services along with many other local businesses as well! I also have some free swag for the kids. 😊
