It's always an honor for me to talk about the amazing programs we have here at CDS. This Past Friday Sept. 19th I was privileged to have 3 min. to talk before Senator Tom Leek and House Representative Judson Sapp during the Bi-annual Legislative Delegation meeting in Putnam County. I talked about CDS's mission and how important our programs are for shaping the youth that are our future.

When it comes to the safety of the youth in our care, CDS Family and Behavioral Health Services stays on top of having all staff get the proper training. The East Shelter got their annual Fire Safety Training today as they practiced using fire extinguishers to put out fires.

CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is ALWAYS on the move in support of the North Florida children, youth, families, and communities we have served for the past *55* years! Here Brandi Bell, Director of the Lake City Interface Youth Shelter (and her mother), Naomi Thompson, a Residential Counselor at the Gainesville Interface Shelter, Kelly Stone, Residential Supervisor at the Palatka Interface Youth Shelter, and Cindy Starling-Hersey, Chief Operations Officer, relax a bit in Hollywood Beach after a full day of trainings at the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services’ Summer Quality Improvement meeting. A lot of energy and creativity is gathered at that table.
