CDS will be participating in Help Me Grow Alachua's Books, Balls, and Blocks (BBB) event on 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁, from 1 PM to 3 PM, at the Majestic Oaks Community Center (5800 SW 20th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32607). Join us for:

Developmentally appropriate games and activities
Arts and crafts
Free on-site developmental screenings

SNAP at CDS is delighted it was awarded the Legacy Award at the recent Florida Network of Youth and Family Services’
Florida Network SNAP Lead training program.
SNAP (Stop Now and Plan) provides in-office and in school behavior management and communications education to youth ages 6-11 (and their parents) in the Gainesville and Lake City communities.

CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is delighted for its partnership with the Sunrise Rotary Club of Gainesville.
The Club was very supportive of the new Gainesville Interface Youth Shelter, providing a grant for two patio furniture sets.
Here we see Youth Care Worker William Harmon setting up one of four bookcases with the assistance of some IYP Summer Enrichment Program participants. The Rotary Club provided a grant to purchase the bookcases and books as part of IYP’s Book Club. It must be noted that the Book Club was the idea of IYP-Gainesville Senior Youth Care Worker Kevin Lee.
It is always wonderful when a program idea comes from a Team Member who works directly with the resident youth. And even better when that idea is supported to implementation by a community partner like the Sunrise Rotary Club!

We were honored to welcome John Robertson, Director of Membership Services for the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services to our Interface Youth Program shelters in Lake City and Palatka last week! John had the opportunity to tour both IYP-NW and IYP-East, connect with staff, and see firsthand the meaningful work happening there every day to support youth in crisis.

Thank you, John, for your continued support and dedication to youth and families across Florida. Your visit reminded us that we are all part of something bigger - working together to create safe, nurturing spaces for every young person who walks through our doors.
