Yesterday I said goodbye to my best friend. I began working for VETSPACE in 2006. In 2008 I got a 9 week old German Shepherd, he wore a cat’s collar and weighed 11 lbs. He was named Sergeant Bear so he could provide therapy to our homeless veterans. At 9 months old he began therapy at Shands. He grew to 120lbs and was a beautiful, special animal to me and those who knew him. He will be forever in my heart and will be desperately missed

Breen, a proud veteran of WWII who turned 100 years old in August. Celebrating Breen's legacy has been a challenge for family, friends and the staff...
