November marks seven years since House of Yin first rooted down on NW 6th street! 🎂🥳 Roots that grow stronger over time, helped along by the spells that were etched right into the floors. Each room at HoY whispers secret words to empower, with the hope you can feel these intentions as you move through the space. ✨

Receiving good bodywork allows a moment for us to experiment with one of our five developmental movement patterns called ‘yield,’ where breathing regulates and connection happens naturally. It’s actively participating with allowing someone to care for you.
Finding a trustworthy therapist is key. You’re welcome to come experiment with us anytime ✨

House of Yin has the blessing of visibility on 6th street, but with that comes… exposure. A lot of you have seen some of our upheaval recently, an abbreviated list being (and not limited to) the tree that fell on our entry, a now emptied landscape, a recent break in, and this massive septic unit overhaul done on the front of our property. The end of the year should bring even more repair… 🛠️
Foundational work is being done so we can continue to provide a warm and welcoming space for our clients, and the beautiful folks who hold their practices at Yin. We’re cleaning things up, from the ground to the roof; and while House of Yin opened in 2017, it feels good to have opportunity to see new beginnings happening over and over again ✨
My hope (🏹) is that the new year brings us more ease, and with that, a greater ability to serve our beloved community (you❤️) Thank you for being with us through it all!

yin (jɪn) Also Yin, Yn. [Chinese yīn shade, feminine; the moon.]
a. In Chinese philosophy, the feminine or negative principle (characterized by dark, introspection, passivity, disintegration, etc.) of the two opposing cosmic forces into which creative energy divides and whose fusion in physical matter brings the phenomenal world into being. Also attrib. or as adj., Compare: yang.
House of Yin serves as a collaborative of independent wellness practitioners with specialities in massage, movement and mental health.
We work together to support the varying needs of our community.
Having different, but complimentary practices stitched together provides opportunity for our clients to comfortably explore different modalities of therapy, giving them more tools to use on their journey toward health and wholeness.
Our building is nestled among the oak trees off Northwest 6th street, a location endearingly called ‘Acupuncture Alley’. There are currently 6 individuals holding space for their practices at House of Yin. You can learn more about them, their work, and their rates in the Bios section in the above tab. The House is also available to independent practitioners to hold Sunday workshops on the topics of wellness, functional movement, and spirituality, and can be open to the public.
