We are so excited to introduce 🌟Erika🌟 Erika joined the Coconut and Palm Team in January 2026 as an Occupational Therapist! She earned her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Lenoir-Rhyne University in which she gained experience working with a variety of patients including adults and children. In her free time, Miss Erika enjoys going for walks🚶🏼‍♀️, trying new coffee shops ☕️, hiking at national parks 🥾, and reading📚

Let’s officially welcome and say hello to ✨Sydney V✨ Sydney joined our team in January 2026 as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) and works under the supervision of Heidi Panther, MS, OTR/L. She earned her associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from University of Charleston, West Virginia and has experience working in outpatient pediatric clinics as well as mental health facilities. In her free time, Miss Sydney enjoys traveling ✈️, reading 📚, and spending time with family and friends 👯‍♀️

Coconut and Palm’s Speech & Sensory Summer Classes are back again this summer! The weekly classes will be hosted at our office by Sydney Vallejos, MS, CCC-SLP and Amanda Lind, MS, OTR/L.

This class is intended for children ages 3-5 to encourage speech-language growth, social-language development, and play skills through themed activities, sensory play, peer interactions, movement, and more.

We are looking to hire a ✨PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST✨ to join our team at Coconut & Palm Pediatrics. We believe in play-based, child led therapy delivered through a respect-based lens. That means that we treat every child as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. You will work alongside speech and occupational therapists in a supportive, team-first clinic. We take all major insurances and work with children ages 0-21.

Our Tummy Time Talks event is now ✨FREEE✨ to the public. We will be hosting various other women-led businesses to educate caregivers of newborn or pre-crawling babies on gross motor development and other topics including: babbling, car seats, pelvic health, sleep foundations, lactation, and mental health.

There will be time for 1:1 questions with the professionals as well as a social hour for babies and their caregivers to meet new friends and find local support.
