Coconut and Palm’s Speech & Sensory Summer Classes are back again this summer! The weekly classes will be hosted at our office by Sydney Vallejos, MS, CCC-SLP and Amanda Lind, MS, OTR/L.

This class is intended for children ages 3-5 to encourage speech-language growth, social-language development, and play skills through themed activities, sensory play, peer interactions, movement, and more.

We are looking to hire a ✨PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST✨ to join our team at Coconut & Palm Pediatrics. We believe in play-based, child led therapy delivered through a respect-based lens. That means that we treat every child as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. You will work alongside speech and occupational therapists in a supportive, team-first clinic. We take all major insurances and work with children ages 0-21.

Our Tummy Time Talks event is now ✨FREEE✨ to the public. We will be hosting various other women-led businesses to educate caregivers of newborn or pre-crawling babies on gross motor development and other topics including: babbling, car seats, pelvic health, sleep foundations, lactation, and mental health.

There will be time for 1:1 questions with the professionals as well as a social hour for babies and their caregivers to meet new friends and find local support.

Everyone say hello/hola/bonjour/hallo/こんにちは to ✨Sarah✨! Sarah joined our speech team as a Clinical Fellow in September 2025 under the supervision of Sydney Vallejos, CCC-SLP. She earned her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology at the University of the District of Columbia. Sarah is LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) LOUD trained as well as myofunctional therapy. Sarah is multilingual and speaks 5 languages (English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and Japanese)! In her free time she enjoys crafting 🧶 and playing with animals 🐶

We are hosting TUMMY TIME TALKS for newborn and pre-crawling babies and their caregivers!

We will have highly qualified guest speakers each week to discuss caregiver mental health, infant sleep, lactation and feeding, speech-language development, and infant safety/carseats.

We are proud to be hosting a Tummy Time Talks series in the new year for newborn and pre-crawling babies and their caregivers in Gaithersburg, MD!

These classes will be hosted by Dr. Megan Ehrmann - a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in infants and their development, and is a certified breastfeeding specialist and certified educator of infant massage. Megan will be joined by a different guest speaker each week - covering varied topics regarding safety, sleep, wellness, and development.
