There are many factors to take into consideration as we age. There are practical and emotional issues which must be addressed and confronted while approaching end of life. Nobody really wants to talk about the subject until they are faced with a situation where they have to. Consequently, the results include having to make serious decisions under pressure while grieving and this can be a very diff
icult process. More often than not when plans are not made accordingly before the end of ones life, decisions are often made by institutions. The hospice and palliative care movement comes from a belief that humanity and compassion need to be primary concerns in the final stages of life. Furthermore, that the rights and wishes of the patient are central to that care. Our project is intended to provide practical support, resources, and guidance for everyone who is engaged in end of life care. We seek to assist with discussions, guidance, pre-planning, discerning appropriate care, grief counseling, referrals, attorneys, preparation of Advance Health Directive, Five Wishes, Proxies, directives/living wills, Maryland MOLST, other documents, religious concerns, funeral arrangements/planning, and other related matters. We are here to help and support you through such circumstances through our services. We will serve your needs in any state you may reside and point you to the right direction.
