🎉 Grand Opening Celebration! 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the new Outpatient Rehab space in the Rosborough Building at Asbury Methodist Village!

This new location brings our therapy and wellbeing teams together under one roof, enhancing collaboration, communication, and continuity of care. By working side by side, our clinicians are better able to support strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and cognitive function, while ensuring smoother transitions and timely referrals.

The result? A more connected rehab experience that leads to better outcomes, faster progress, and the highest level of care for our residents. We’re proud of this next step forward and can’t wait to welcome you into the new space!

🎉 Celebrating 100 Years of History! 🎉

We’re proud to share that we just had a soft opening of the Asbury Methodist Village History Museum, a beautiful tribute to a century of memories, milestones, and community.

Created by resident Hal Gaut, with the help of many dedicated resident volunteers, a community member, and supportive staff, the museum brings Asbury Methodist Village’s story to life, from its beginnings as a simple idea sparked by two visionary women to the vibrant community we know today.

Every detail was thoughtfully preserved, from treasured photographs to the use of original cabinets, which now showcase these images with care and authenticity. The result is a meaningful, immersive look at our shared history.

Thank you to everyone who made this incredible project possible, and here’s to honoring the past as we celebrate 100 years together! 💙✨

What a fantastic afternoon at Asbury! 🎶

Today we hosted our quarterly Resident-Led Acoustic Jam Session & Sing-Along, and more than 60 residents came out to enjoy the music, laughter, and community spirit.

A huge thank you to our talented band, the dedicated Asbury Methodist Village staff, and all the residents who helped make this event such a success. Moments like these are what make our community so special!

Associates at Asbury Methodist Village kicked off the holiday season in the sweetest way possible. At the “Sweet Treats and Ugly Sweaters” associates' appreciation party!

From gooey brownies and spicy gingerbread to cozy cups of hot cider and hot chocolate, the treats were endless and absolutely delicious. 🍫☕🍪

And the fun didn’t stop there! Associates participated in festive games and friendly competitions and walked away with amazing prizes. The laughter was loud, and the holiday spirit was everywhere.

It was a joyful, heart-warming celebration, and the perfect way to honor our incredible associates and start the season with smiles. 💛🎉

🎃👻 The annual AVTV Halloween party at Asbury Methodist Village was an absolute spooktacular hit! Residents and associates truly embraced the festive spirit, showcasing an incredible variety of costumes.

The event featured delicious food and lively games, such as charades and “Guess That Tune,” which kept everyone entertained. The thrilling costume contest, where both residents and associates won amazing prizes, added an extra layer of excitement. It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating together.

The festivities didn’t stop there! Wilson Health Care Center hosted its own Halloween party, where residents, their grandchildren, and the associates’ children indulged in tasty treats, lively music, and, of course, lots of candy. Kindley Assisted Living also joined in the fun with their celebration, contributing to the joyful atmosphere.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable! We're already looking forward to next year’s celebration! 🕷️✨

The Asbury Methodist Village Associates had a wonderful time at the recent Associate Appreciation Event, “Party at the Plex”.

Everyone gathered at the Asbury Sportsplex and enjoyed a variety of games, including Bocce, classic board games, and Basketball. They even challenged the residents to a friendly game of pickleball.

The event also featured great food and lovely company, complemented by some uplifting music. A big thank you to the human resources team and the engagement committee for organizing such a memorable associate appreciation event. It truly brought everyone together!

Asbury Methodist Village wrapped up Active Aging Week with an exciting lineup of events! The day began with a lively pickleball contest, where residents showcased their skills in friendly competition.

The State of Maryland Senior Bocce Olympics, held on our campus, featured teams vying for the spotlight as they rolled their bocce balls toward the pallino. We proudly received multiple medals, including gold, silver, and bronze.

In the afternoon, Hefner Auditorium became a lively dance floor for a wine and cheese dance featuring live music from the entertaining Swing Time Big Band. Friends mingled over delicious treats, and soon the room came alive with rhythm as everyone hit the dance floor.

From swing to foxtrot, chacha, and salsa, residents dazzled in their dancing shoes, sharing smiles and laughter in an unforgettable celebration. This was a fantastic way to conclude a week filled with fun and fellowship.

What an exciting week!

Asbury Methodist Village kicked off Active Aging Week in style with a rockin’ Rock and Roll walk led by our very own James and the fabulous Well-being team! Residents and associates strolled around the campus to the beat of some great tunes.

All participants received their T-shirts, and after a fun stretch, they all hit the pavement for an energizing and fun walk!

The fun didn’t stop there! In the afternoon, everyone gathered in the community Rooms for a fantastic Ice Cream Social, where residents enjoyed some delicious ice cream, engaged in lively conversation, and even showed off some dance moves to amazing music playing in the background.

We have many more events planned for this week, including a nutritional talk, rock painting, pickleball tournaments, and much more.

Here’s to celebrating community connections and the joy of staying active!
