Our Story

Rachel Christy launched Street Smart Beauty in 2016 as the culmination of her experiences navigating her way through the skin care industry, working to understand skin care, skin care ingredients and products. Along the way, Rachel became a licensed Esthetician and certified Aromatherapist and read countless books and articles to getting savvy on the hows, whys, and chemistry behind botanical and natural skin care ingredients. It took the better part of a decade of perseverance to find these gems. Despite the beauty industry’s best effort to over-complicate good skin care, Rachel found a way to stop getting played and become a player.

In 2016, Rachel Christy launched Street Smart Beauty to share what she learned and to help inspire other women through her experiences. It is Rachel’s hope for Street Smart Beauty that it becomes a platform for creating a community that educates, inspires and empowers skin care enthusiasts and professionals alike.
