Spotlight on Alicia today!
Alicia is a certified CPOA Paraoptometric technician AS WELL AS our fabulous assistant office manager! She works hard day in and day out to help Brian with running the office daily as well as managing our team. She is the best at remembering little details about each team member as well as making sure people are at their best every day.
When asked what her favorite thing about working at Blue Ridge Eye Care is, this is what she said:
The thing I love most about working at Blue Ridge Eye Care is the family that we are. I am always able to be a mother first, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. We look out for each other and love one another here.
2 fun facts about Alicia:
I love being outside and in nature. Fall hikes are the best!
I love my two kids more than anything! Being their mom is my greatest accomplishment!
We are so grateful Alicia decided to come home to her BRECA family, and we can't imagine our team without her leadership.

Our second spotlight of the day is our very own Lily.
She brings SO much light and joy to the tech room and the office as a whole. Her laugh is contagious and so genuine. She is very compassionate with patients and detail oriented.

Over the years that Blue Ridge Eye Care has been running, we've been blessed with some hardworking, compassionate, awesome technicians.
The month of September is dedicated to recognizing them specifically!
We have such a great group of Paraoptometric Technicians currently! Two that are CPO (1st level certified) awaiting their scores for their CPOA (2nd level) and three that are studying to take their CPO certification!
We are also very lucky to have such a well rounded Assistant Manager who is also CPOA certified and started in the industry (at BRECA) as a Paraoptometric technician.

Emily is our second longest tenured technician, and we appreciate her steadfast dedication! Emily is wonderful with her patients, and it shows! She also made the decision and effort to achieve her first certification as a Paraoptometric technician.

Starting with Lexi, CPO.
Lexi is our lead technician, and she is a Rockstar. She took the initiative and received her first level certification. She is a great team player and cares about her patients deeply.
When asked what her favorite thing about working at Blue Ridge, she said: One thing that I love about working at Blue Ridge Eye Care is that I work with my best friends and consider everyone family.

Doctors Katherine L. Henning, O.D., Lindi M. Williams, O.D, J. Nathan Williams , O.D., our associates, and staff are dedicated to providing the most comprehensive eye care available. Our office is located in Galax, Virginia.

Our mission is: - To provide the most technologically advanced and comprehensive eye health care. This will allow us to detect ocular disease at an early stage, maintain our patients ocular health, and improve our patient's quality of life. - To practice the highest ethical standards and always continue our education to provide the most advanced care available. - To provide superior service and offer the finest quality and value in eye-wear and contact lenses. - To meet our patient's needs in a timely fashion, treating everyone with courtesy, respect, and fairness. We know it's important to be thorough. That's why we offer a comprehensive eye examination that will uncover hidden, symptom-less, potentially sight threatening eye disorders and diseases that are not found by a simple vision screening. The eyes are a part of the body, so they can be affected by many health conditions.
