On Wednesday, we have the absolute honor of celebrating a truly remarkable woman, Selma, on her 105th birthday!✨

105 years of love, strength, resilience, and memories that most of us can only begin to imagine. Selma has witnessed generations, shared countless stories, and touched so many lives with her kindness and grace.

Her smile still lights up the room, her presence brings comfort, and her life is a beautiful reminder of the power of love, perseverance, and joy. Today is World Down Syndrome Day. Down syndrome is a condition that occurs when there is an extra chromosome at birth, which are genes that determine how our body looks and grows. Usually, people are born with 46 chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome have 47 chromosomes. The extra chromosome copy is trisomy 21.

We celebrated Plant a Flower Day here at Waddell! It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, fresh blooms, and a reminder that even the smallest seeds can grow into something beautiful.

Our residents got into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit by using marshmallows as paint stamps to create festive shamrocks. Who knew something so sweet could make such cute art?

There were plenty of laughs, a few sticky fingers, and lots of beautiful shamrocks blooming on paper. Sometimes, the simplest activities bring the biggest smiles!

Our residents celebrated Pi Day (3.14) in the sweetest way possible… by enjoying plenty of delicious pie!🥧

There were lots of smiles, a little whipped cream here and there, and plenty of laughter as everyone gathered together to celebrate. Sometimes, the best math lesson is simply remembering that Pi Day means pie day! A sweet treat and even sweeter company made it a wonderful afternoon for our residents!

A little polish, a lot of laughter, and the best company. Our Red Hat Society ladies enjoyed a relaxing manicure day together, proving that friendship, fun, and a fresh coat of nail polish can brighten any day.
