We love being a part of this little mountain town, and our new home, Ravenlia Galleria, is finally opening March 28th right here in Galax. The long move from Raleigh is officially over. No longer just an online store, our main location will start having classes again this month and we'll start expanding our wholesale program again this Summer. You asked for truly natural oral care, so I spent nearly two years researching plants, minerals, and traditional approaches to oral balance. It all began with a realization that our skin is more permeable than we were led to believe. In fact, warm water opens your pores to the ingredients of every soap you have every used. It was through recognizing this doorway into our bodies in the early 1990's that started me on a lifelong journey into the effects of plants on our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical bodies.
I was disappointed to see all the synthetic ingredients, found in even the most basic things and even at the health food stores, and I decided to follow in the footsteps of my Native American ancestors. Because, if our ancestors lived without synthetic chemicals, so can we.
Many said (and still say) that it can’t be done and yet, through careful consideration and always respecting the land and the people, I have found natural solutions for so many issues. I developed a pain reliever called Minty Relief when a bone in my back broke into 3 pieces from an accident in the early 2000's. My mother's fierce determination to save my little boy from repetitive MRSA outbreaks in 2010 resulted in the GoAway Formula. And when several tribal members asked for my help with their itchy skin problems I developed Wildwood which successfully fights eczema, fungi, dermatitis and almost all itchy skin problems.
I moved back to Raleigh in 2015 to bring my Native American plant medicine to the public and that is when ALYWILLOW was founded. Alywillow is truly a botanical phenomenon! My products are designed from over 300 plants and the latest scientific studies - for topical application through the simple methods of washing and moisturizing. My team and I formulate and create over 150 products by hand from hundreds of therapeutic, organic, and medicinal plants from around the world.
