Meet Megan Sisson, our Scheduling Manager for Kansas caregivers and clients!

What many don’t know is that Megan has been part of the Cornerstone Caregiving family since 2021, just a few months after we opened our doors in Joplin. With over 20 years of experience in caregiving, Megan truly understands both our caregivers’ needs and the unique challenges our clients face.

Outside of work, Megan is a devoted wife and proud mom of four children—plus a few beloved fur babies! Between her family and her role at Cornerstone, she keeps a full schedule, but always shows up with dedication and care.

Myth Busters Alzheimer's Addition:

❌ Myth 1: Memory loss is just a normal part of getting older.
✅ Fact: Some forgetfulness can come with age, but Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a progressive disease that affects memory, thinking, and behavior.

❌ Myth 2: Only older people get Alzheimer’s.
✅ Fact: While age is the biggest risk factor, Alzheimer’s can affect people as young as their 40s or 50s (called younger-onset Alzheimer’s).

❌ Myth 3: Alzheimer’s isn’t fatal.
✅ Fact: Alzheimer’s is a progressive brain disease and one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. It slowly damages areas of the brain essential for life.
