Richard A Connell is a highly qualified and experienced Acupuncturist. He is nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is licensed to practice acupuncture in Illinois, Wisconsin and New Mexico. He has more than twenty years of experience successfully treating common and complex health issues with Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine. He keeps up with current research and utilizes the best and most appropriate techniques to provide the safest and most effective treatments.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Richard A Connell received his Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine training and Graduate Medical Degree at Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM, where he later was an Associate Professor, teaching specialized and advanced Acupuncture and Manual Therapy techniques. He also graduated from East-West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, WI with a specialty in Asian Bodywork and Eastern Medical Massage. In the early years of his career, he traveled extensively throughout Asia to seek out and learn more healing modalities. He also apprenticed with Chinese Acupuncture masters. Richard attended The Wat Po Traditional Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand, where he earned his Certification in Traditional Thai Massage. In addition, Richard earned a Yoga Instructors Certificate after long and intensive study in Rishikesh, India.

It seems that a lot of my patients consider acupuncture and find me after they have tried almost everything else. Maybe they didn’t like the drugs or painkillers they were prescribed. Maybe they didn't want to undergo surgery. These are the cases I thrive on. I appreciate the challenge because I can achieve amazing results by bringing my unique skills, techniques and experience to each acupuncture treatment.
