My followers I’m speaking from my heart, because this hurts.
Our sons, our brothers, Eritrean men being named in these horrific acts of violence against women. It’s painful, and it’s hard to understand.

But as a clinician, I want to be clear:There is no DSM-5 diagnosis for killing women! Call it what it is violence, abuse, coercion. And, Don’t label everything as “mental illness.”It is unfair to those who struggle with mental health.

Yes, there may be contributing factors like substance use, trauma, or stress that does not remove accountability.
We can care, and still hold people responsible.
