🥕 Carrot & Ginger Soup 🍵

This comforting soup is rich in beta-carotene, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties, helping support immunity and skin health!

Ingredients:
-4 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
-1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
-1 small onion, chopped
-2 cups vegetable broth
-1 tablespoon olive oil
-Salt and pepper to taste
-½ teaspoon turmeric (optional for extra health benefits)

Instructions:
1. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and ginger, cooking for 3–4 minutes until softened.
2. Add the chopped carrots and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 15–20 minutes until the carrots are tender.
3. Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth (or transfer to a regular blender).
4. Stir in turmeric (optional), and season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Serve warm and enjoy a soothing, nourishing meal.

🧘 Full Moon Meditation & Breathwork Ritual

You’ll need:
🕯️ A candle or calming light
🌿 A quiet space (indoors or under the moon)
📓 Journal (optional)
🌬️ Step 1: Moon Breathwork (5–7 minutes)

Try 4-7-8 breathing to ground yourself:
-Inhale for 4 seconds
-Hold for 7 seconds
-Exhale slowly for 8 seconds
-Repeat for several rounds. Let go of tension with each exhale.

🌝 Step 2: Full Moon Meditation (10–15 minutes)
-Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and visualize the full moon glowing above you.
-Imagine its silver light washing over your body; cleansing, calming, clearing.
-Reflect on this question:
“What am I ready to release to make space for growth?”
-Let thoughts float by without attachment.

✍️ Step 3: Journal or Speak It Aloud
-Write or say out loud what you're releasing.
-You can burn or bury the paper (safely!) as a symbolic act of letting go.

Pumpkin is rich in enzymes and antioxidants like vitamin A and C, which exfoliate and brighten dull, dry, or flaky skin! Honey is a great humectant that hydrates and soothes.

Ingredients:
-2 tbsp pure pumpkin puree (fresh or canned, unsweetened)
-1 tsp raw honey
-½ tsp cinnamon (optional, for acne-prone skin – do a patch test)

Instructions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.

Hydrating Aloe & Cucumber Toner🥒💧
Refresh and hydrate with this cooling aloe and cucumber toner. Perfect for calming and balancing your skin! 🌿

Ingredients:
-½ cup cucumber juice (blend cucumber and strain)
-¼ cup aloe vera gel
-1 tsp rose water (optional)

Instructions:

Marie Healy L.Ac.

Acupuncture Healing Arts Center was created in 2001 in Longmont, CO by Marie Healy, licensed Acupuncturist and graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO with a Masters in Science & Oriental Medicine. Marie is a Massage Therapist since 1994 when she graduated from Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. She has training in Cupping, Moxabustion, Shatsu, Tui Na, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Homeopathy and utilizes aromatherapy & flower essences in her treatments. Since 1998 Marie has been training Reiki Practitioners and Magnified Healing students and as of 2016 has been training Massage Therapists in Cupping Therapy CEU courses for NCCTMB. Marie’s specially is treating musculoskeletal injuries, athletic performance, pain syndromes, fertility and allergies. She is trained in Battlefield Acupuncture a technique created to work with PTSD and pain for the military.
