🚀 We're excited to share this incredible aerospace component we manufactured using the powerful Meltio laser head integrated into our Jupiter Machine Tool VMX650FX hybrid platform! 💥

This high-performance part was built from Inconel — a superalloy famous for its strength, heat resistance, and corrosion tolerance — using wire-laser metal deposition. We achieved a near-net-shape geometry with just a 0.020” material allowance, meaning minimal waste and maximum efficiency. And get this: the Inconel wire used cost less than $18, compared to a $400 billet! 🔥

Once the additive process was complete, we switched straight into 5-axis CNC machining — all on the same machine. The result? Aerospace-grade precision with ultra-tight tolerances of ±0.0001” (±3 microns) and a final part density of 99.9998%. 💎

This is what hybrid manufacturing with Meltio is all about: additive and subtractive in one setup, drastically cutting cycle times, costs, and complexity.
