Yesterday we had the privilege of serving the family of Deputy Jerry Soares. Deputy Soares was more than a dedicated officer — he was a mentor, a friend, and a steady presence for the students and staff at Gallatin High School, where he proudly served as School Resource Officer.

The impact he made in the lives of young people and in our community will not be forgotten. It was truly an honor to walk alongside his family and friends as we celebrated his life and the legacy he leaves behind.

Hours: 30–40 hours per week

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our team at Sumner Funeral & Cremation in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, and able to work in an emotionally sensitive environment while offering calm and respectful support to grieving families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Answer phones with care and courtesy
• Assist families and guests with empathy and professionalism
• Perform basic administrative tasks and data entry
• Handle scheduling and communication with attention to detail
• Take direction and multitask in a dynamic, supportive environment

Qualifications:
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
• Willingness to work closely with families in emotionally sensitive situations
• Dependable and teachable with a heart for serving others
