It's officially October! This time of year brings many fun activities for our kids, but also an increase in certain viral illnesses. One of these is RSV.

RSV stands for Respiratory Syncytial Virus. It can look like the common cold for older kids and adults. Younger children and infants, or those with certain medical conditions such as asthma, are at higher risk for severe illness, including bronchiolitis.

RSV is very contagious and can be spread by direct contact or surfaces. Washing hands and other surfaces regularly is one of the most helpful ways to reduce the spread to others.

Please talk with your provider about how best to protect your family this season or for more information regarding RSV.
