Raechel Tracy is a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Gallatin clinic! Raechel is from Gallatin and attended Vol State and Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). She loves animals and has trained therapy dogs that she used in physical therapy in the past.

Last week, Daniel Headrick, our Industrial Specialist, was invited to teach Work Conditioning at the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association Conference. The conference hosted Safety and Work Comp Managers from utility companies across Middle, West, and East Tennessee. Dan explained the benefits of Work Conditioning, how it can protect against injuries through proper preparation, and the evidence showing that Work Conditioning lessens disability and improves work ability.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage and selflessness protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day!

On January 31, Barry fell off a 16-foot ladder, landing on the hardwood floor and shattering his right hip. He spent 4 days in intensive care before having R ORIF acetabular surgery on February 5. After surgery, he stayed in inpatient rehab for 13 days, was non-weight bearing for 8 weeks, and had home health therapy before starting outpatient therapy at STAR Physical Therapy – Gallatin on April 4.

With the help of Evan Sexton, DPT, Barry went from non-weight-bearing and using a rolling walker to walking independently with a normal gait! 🙌

Barry was highly motivated and compliant with attending PT and performing his home exercise program. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, Barry is back to his daily routine with little to no difficulty and officially discharged from PT as of May 19! 💪

Way to go, Barry! 👏
