📣 Opportunities for Our Blind & Low Vision Community 📣

We’re excited to share a couple of great opportunities through the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) of Missouri that may be of interest to our clients and families:

🎓 1) NFB of Missouri Scholarships (2026)

The NFB of Missouri is offering scholarships for students who are enrolled in a post-secondary program.

✅ Applications are open now
📅 Deadline: February 15, 2026

If you or someone you know may qualify, we encourage you to apply! (See attached announcement for details.)

🤝 2) Mentorship Program for Transition-Age Students (Ages 14–21)

The NFB of Missouri also runs a mentorship program for transition-age students (14–21) that provides one-to-one mentorship and support.

They are currently accepting applications for blind/low vision adults age 22+ who are interested in serving as mentors.

Jen Miller has been a dedicated part of the Access II team since 2014 and currently serves as our Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her role, Jen keeps things running smoothly across the organization, often spending her days traveling between the Gallatin and Saint Joseph offices to support staff and operations.

With years of experience and a deep commitment to Access II’s mission, Jen brings steady leadership, compassion, and a strong sense of purpose to everything she does.

When asked what advice she would give to someone just starting at Access II, Jen shared:
