HOLZER STRONG meetings continue! Holzer Strong is a caregiver support group that is open to all caregivers and loved ones. Caregivers receive crucial information that provides knowledge and guidance. Our next meeting is April 13th and 27th, 3:30pm, at the Holzer Therapy and Wellness Center. Participate in-person or virtually via Microsoft Teams. April is Defeat Diabetes Month! This observance brings attention to diabetes awareness and encourages individuals to take steps toward better health and disease management, especially for Type 2 diabetes.

Small, consistent habits can lead to positive change. Incorporate more non starchy vegetables into meals. Stay active each day. Prioritize fresh foods and cut back on sugary drinks.

Defeat Diabetes Month also serves as a reminder to support individuals living with diabetes and to stress the value of early detection and education. Together, we can create healthier communities and lessen the burden of this chronic disease.

Holzer is holding an art contest for National Donate Life Month! The contest starts today and ends on April 30th. All skill levels are welcome to participate. This year’s theme, “Leave a Legacy,” uses trees as a symbol of life and connection. Use this slogan/symbol as the inspiration for your work! Hand drawings or paintings only. No digital art or other medium.

One winner will be chosen for each age bracket: 5-10 years old, 11-17 years old, and 18+ years old. Send us your work by clicking the attached link or dropping off your artwork at the Holzer Gift Shop at our Gallipolis Hospital location (100 Jackson Pike).
