Welcome to the Chamber Board Chris Nourse!
Chris Nourse brings more than 25 years of human resources experience to the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. A certified PHR professional, he holds bachelor and master degrees in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology from Marshall University. Chris currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator at the University of Rio Grande and also coordinates the Southeastern Ohio Safety Council (SOSC), which promotes health and safety in the workplace.
Chris and his family moved to Gallipolis in 2013 and are proud to call Gallia County home. Chris often says that living here feels “like being in a Hallmark movie or a Norman Rockwell painting” and appreciates the area’s natural beauty and culture—one rooted in hard work, resilience, family values, warmth, generosity, and genuine community spirit.
Chris has served the community through the Gallipolis Rotary Club (past president), the River Recreation Festival Committee, Square One, and Fellowship of Faith. Outside of work and volunteering, he enjoys singing, working out, watching slapstick comedies, and spending time with his family.
