This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we gather with family, friends, and community this weekend, we recognize the sacrifices made by military members and their loved ones across generations.

Memorial Day is also a reminder of the importance of connection, support, and checking in on one another — especially with veterans, military families, and those who may be carrying unseen burdens.

From all of us at the Gallia-Jackson-Meigs ADAMH Board, we extend our gratitude and remembrance to those who served and sacrificed.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available by calling or texting 988.

Feel-Good Friday | Another Mental Health Action Achieved 💚

Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month, communities across Gallia, Jackson, and Meigs Counties came together to recognize the importance of mental wellness, recovery, prevention, and connection.

We are grateful to our local County Commissioners, community providers, partners, and Executive Director Robin Harris of the Gallia-Jackson-Meigs ADAMH Board for supporting and participating in Mental Health Awareness Month Proclamations across our region.

These proclamations help shine a light on the importance of reducing stigma, increasing awareness, supporting recovery, and reminding our communities that help is available.

This year’s proclamation also highlighted an important reminder:

“Your Presence is a Present.”

Checking in on someone, listening, encouraging help-seeking, and simply showing up for one another can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you to everyone helping strengthen mental wellness and connection throughout Gallia, Jackson, and Meigs Counties.

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Mental Health Monday: Connection Looks Different for Everyone

We’re not meant to do life alone—but connection doesn’t always look the same.

For some, connection means reaching out.
For others, it means taking time to recharge.

Being introverted isn’t a weakness—it’s simply how some people restore their energy.

This resource from Mental Health America can help you better understand your needs:
https://screening.mhanational.org/content/is-it-okay-to-be-an-introvert/

No matter how you connect, support still matters.

A simple message can make a difference:
“Hey, I’ve been thinking about you.”

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to go through it alone.
Call or text 988 anytime.

CTA: Take a moment today—whether that’s reaching out or giving yourself space to recharge.
