We recently attended a beautiful dinner hosted by Today's Choice Women's Center. Dr. Susan Bane shared her expertise concerning abortion and working with pregnancy resource centers in South Carolina.
It was a very educational and inspiring event bringing together medical professionals and NJ pregnancy resource centers .

We are all so inspired by our client "Rebecca." Though her name and voice have been changed in this video, we have come to know and love her so well.

This story is only possible because of JSWC’s dedicated donors. Please consider supporting our mission at friendsofjswc.org. With your help, we can be there for many more women like Rebecca.

Please share her powerful testimony so the world can see how Jersey Shore Women's Center walks with our clients.

A special thanks to video producer Zach Brooks for helping us tell this important story.

Our friend Alice who attends Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Linwood stops by at least once a month to bless us with baby items that the parishioners collect all week long. This began with their former Pastor Father Harte who went to be with Jesus and their wonderful new Pastor Father Lobo continues this good work. We are so thankful.

Again this year the music students at Holy Spirit High School led a school-wide collection of diapers and baby items for the moms and babies that visit Jersey Shore Women’s Center. This tradition began several years ago thanks to Claire Collins and was continued by their wonderful new teacher Mr. Steinbronn.

Additionally Mr McGhee initiated (for the 2nd year in a row) a school Dress-Down Day collecting $912 to help moms and babies at JSWC.

Thank you Mr. McGhee, Mr. Steinbronn, Ms Collins, Father Nilsen and to all your amazing students and faculty.

God is good and the future looks bright ☀️🙏🏻

Please Read this beautiful story of one of the Mother's that we serve at Jersey Shore Women's Center!

“Isabella” was referred to us by a supporter who was praying near the abortion clinic, located in the building next to ours. She was pregnant and thought she was without alternatives to abortion. She had an abortion scheduled that day and was determined to get it, until she spoke with us and rea...

We are brokenhearted at Jersey Shore Women’s as we have lost our dear friend, Father Jim Hutchins. Father Hutchins poured his time, talent and treasure into loving the mothers and babies that we serve at Jersey Shore Women’s Center. On any given Saturday whether rain, snow, or sunshine… we could usually count on Father Hutchins outside praying for all the moms and babies. I’m afraid I may have taken for granted how blessed we were to have such a beautiful sight to see a holy priest right outside our office window regularly doing God’s work. Not only was he there to pray for the moms and babies but he was always available to hear our troubles and even to bless our office. Every once in a while, he would come inside to take a break from the temperatures or maybe it was mostly just to chat to give our staff and volunteers encouragement and guidance. He was there on some of the most joyful days and some of the most heart wrenching. He would bring us the most beautiful gifts from his own home..a Crucifix, a prayer kneeler, a portrait of the Holy Family, Blessed Holy water, etc. Our prayer corner at JSWC is a reminder of Father Hutchins every day. Sometimes he wouldn’t come in, but we would know he was there because he would leave an envelope under the door with a note and a gift to the center. I think maybe he did it that way because he probably knows it would’ve been hard for us to accept what was in the envelope each time we opened it considering we already knew he lived a very humble life in his small home. The last time we heard from Father was about a month ago. He called to say he put an envelope under the door. When we opened it this time we couldn’t believe it. In speaking with him, we found that he sold some of his possessions in order to give the center what we didn’t realize was his last gift. We knew Father was sick but we still didn’t expect him to be gone so soon. He had just prayed over our event in December. He had just walked all the way up to the second floor of our building to bring us a gift and had been outside praying not long before. He had been posting videos of himself until Palm Sunday. Videos we will all now have to remember him. Father was a good holy priest who lived his vocation beautifully and carried his cross so well that some of us had no idea it was getting so heavy. He gave of himself until the very end. This world will miss such a good man and so will we at Jersey Shore Women’s Center.

Eternal rest grant unto Father Hutchins, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen

This time Brigantine Knights of Columbus Council 7020 presented us a check from the Supreme Council. Under the Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP) program, the program provides an additional $100 for every $500 a council donates with a limit of $2000. The Brigantine Council are high achievers and we are grateful!

These Easter goodies were thoughtfully given to us by the Sodality at St Bernadette's Church, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla Parish. They are a Spiritual organization of women who are devoted to the Blessed Mother and who promote the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy.

These gifts were a special surprise for the young women who came in for appointments that day. They were very happy to get to choose a few items for their children. Thank you!

It is so great when our homeschooling supporters volunteer with their families and classmates. It is a win-win!

Theses students got to integrate real-world experience into their education while engaging in community service outside of the classroom and we got to have some amazing helpers. They got this stuff done 10 times faster than we usually do.

Fun fact… they were able to get way more diapers to fit in the shelves while pretending they were playing Tetris! May have some future engineers in this group!
