To our valued patients - as many of you know, we have been open for emergency care during the Stay at Home order due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I am happy to announce that we are able to open to non-emergent care on May 1, 2020. However, we have made the following modifications to our service to help keep you and our staff safe until a vaccine and better treatments are found.
1. We have reduced patient appointments to every 45 minutes from every 20 minutes - that means we are seeing less than 50% of our normal workload to allow for proper social distancing. No more than 5 patients are allowed in the office at a time.
2. All patients will be temperature screened and required to wear a mask while at our offices.
3. Only the patient is permitted to come into our office for the appointment - the exception is for minors and 1 parent/guardian is permitted. They are also required to have a mask and will be COVID screened to and documented in case contact tracing by the health department is needed.
4. Enhanced disinfection policies are in place after every patient.
5. Curbside dispensing of glasses and contact lenses, as well as repairs on glasses will continue until further notice.
6. If you are not getting glasses the same day as your appointment - you will need to set an appointment with our optical department to do so.
7. No Walk In patients, you must call ahead for an appointment, even if you are bringing in an outside RX.
Please visit our FaceBook page for further updates. We appreciate your continued support during this time and look forward to seeing you all again.
Since we will be seeing less than 50% of our normal workload, patient appointments will book up quickly, if you are overdue for your exam - call to schedule as soon as possible.
If you or a member of your household is experiencing shortness of breath, coughing, fever, loss of taste or smell, you need to contact your P*P immediately and reschedule your appointment.
Also, if you have a question, concern, or eye care need, please CALL AHEAD. Now is not the time to just “pop in” to ask a question. We understand that everyone is anxious to get out and about, but in order to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy, we need to limit the amount of traffic flow into our office.
Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!
