Mosaic Foundation

Mosaic Foundation At Mosaic, we unite diverse elements—programs, resources, and people—into a harmonious whole that supports seniors and their caregivers.

Mosaic (Formerly Seashore Gardens Foundation) enriches the quality of life for the aged in southern New Jersey, guided by the Jewish tradition of caring and charity, and adapting to an ever-changing environment. Like the pieces of a mosaic, each contribution is unique and essential, creating a beautiful and impactful picture of care. Discover how we bring connection and care to aging individuals and their families.

Mission Monday: In our recent art therapy session with Laurie Staller, seniors painted trees on canvas in beautiful fall colors—mixing paints, blending shades, and creating pieces as unique as the artists themselves. It was a meaningful opportunity for them to express themselves and connect at a time when communication can be challenging.

Throwback Thursday: In 1956, photographer Al Gold captured a cherished moment at the Hebrew Old Age Home—his young son asking the Four Questions during the Passover seder. This intimate snapshot reminds us of the enduring power of tradition, family, and community, even in a home for elders. The number of Americans ages 65+ will more than double over the next 40 years—reaching 80 million by 2040. And those 85+? Their numbers will nearly quadruple. As our population ages, so does the need for compassionate, innovative senior care. At Mosaic, we’re preparing for this future with programs that honor dignity, connection, and quality of life.
