Yá'át'ééh!!! The Navajo Nation Veterinary Management Program is partnering with Animal Protection of New Mexico in providing an Equine Health Clinic at the Western Navajo Fair Rodeo Grounds in Tuba City, AZ.
Services that will be provided on March 1, 2024 will be equine castration, PZP birth control for mares, dental floats, hoof trims, vaccinations/deworming, coggins, and health certificates 🐴
This clinic is by appointment only, please see contact information on flyer.
For castrations stallions/jacks must be:
• At least 4 months old.
• Healthy with 2 descended testicles.
• Halter-trained and accompanied by
a qualified handler.
• Under the care of their human for
14 days after castration to provide
daily exercise and to watch for signs
of swelling or other complications.
For the PZP injection mares must be:
• Halter-trained and accompanied
by a qualified handler.
• Under the care of their human for
14 days after shot to watch for
injection site reactions and provide
exercise for the first few days.
• Available for a booster shot in
2-3 weeks.
