It's cold out side. Many of us don't like this time after the holidays. It seems the holidays give up many things to do and enjoy that we need to decide which one to take in. After the holidays seem like a let down. What a wonderful time for genealogy. We have the time to get all those old bibles, family papers and old photos out to enjoy. Put together your family tree. Find out what information you need. When the weather is nicer we can know what place to visit to gather our family genealogy. Remember the genealogical information you have at hand is a good place to start.

Our Christmas holidays are with us. Our families get together and share important time with each other. The little ones get many photos taken of then for future remembrances . Don't forget the older folks. When the little ones are grown all they will have are photos to remember their older relatives. If able have the older folks write them letters about themselves. Yes they are creating a time capsule. How great the feeling when one can open them up and be proud to know of their family. Merry Christmas / God Jul

What a great season of Reunions. They are either family or school class reunions. Both can be very helpful in finding and knowing our family genealogy. Get peoples addresses and give them a call if you forgot to ask them about a person. Be willing to share your knowledge on someone. Small get together's help when people can share where people went. It is all a challenge but a very rewarding one when we can help someone. We can help who is in Galva, past and present.

This is so important. Older people have photos of new family babies which is right. When we are gone do the children have photos of us. Children love to know their Great Grandparents. What they looked like and who they were. Make sure we have photos of us with them so they have something to cherish.
