PORT TRAFFIC ALERT: Drivers should expect traffic delays during peak times in and around the Cruise Terminal 25-28 complex due to road construction in August.

Crews will begin construction in early August on a section of port roadway from the 23rd Street cruise complex entrance east for about 80 feet. A portion of the north lane will be under construction until early September. There will not be a traffic pattern change during this phase of construction.

The construction is part of a phased port project to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety on the port’s 2-mile-long Wharf Road. The internal roadway expansion is also intended to help alleviate traffic congestion on Harborside Drive. https://www.portofgalveston.com/news/port-roadway-construction-notice-cruise-terminal-25-28-complex/
