Galveston Birth Center The Midwives of Galveston recognized a need on the island for holistic, family-centered care during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Our facility was planned with the intention of improving access to alternative maternity care and the choices available to families for their pregnancies and births. We selected a historic location, close to the hospital, that felt like home; where clients can obtain the family-centered care they desire, attend classes, and receive lactation support. All prenatal and postpartum care takes place in

our facility. We offer the option to our own clients, and to those birthing with other providers, of having their placenta processed in the island’s only space that is OSHA compliant and completely dedicated to placenta processing.
