How it started and an update on how it’s going…

We are so excited to share that Dr Lynch will be in the clinic Monday through Thursday beginning the week of August 11!  

The need for expert SGB care has grown, so we have expanded our access to meet this demand.

We’ve not only increased our clinic hours, we have also added a new person to our team.

People deserve quality care, time, and a physician who listens. We know that people will travel for expert quality care—some from very far away. We know that taking care of one person at a time is a worthwhile endeavor and if we can relieve suffering every day for patients, then that is a successful day.

Excited for 4 successful days each week!!!

Dr. Jim recognizes the challenges that firefighters and their families have on a daily basis.

Firefighters are out risking themselves, to ensure our safety. There are a lot of parallels in their roles, to that of a special operator.

As a thank you, Dr. Lynch has generously donated 20 tickets to the Louden County Fire and Rescue team to attend the play, “Last Out, an elegy of a Green Beret”.

PTSD in UKRAINE demands more than awareness right now.

Along with our partners at Task Force Antal · Humanitarian Action, we will be delivering life-changing Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) treatment in Ukraine.

Our goal is to develop SGB expertise as a sustained capability to treat all Ukrainians who could benefit.

Each day, Ukrainian Veterans return home with combat trauma.
Civilians endure repeated bombings, displacement, and loss. The healthcare system is overwhelmed and under-resourced.

For Mental Health Awareness Month we would like to make you aware of Stellate Ganglion Block 
Is SGB New?
No!
Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) has been around over 100 years!
Since the 1920’s, SGB was safely performed on thousands of people by physicians without using any x-ray or ultrasound guidance. For many years, SGB was used primarily to treat pain conditions, but in 1990 a coincidental discovery found SGB extremely effective for PTSD symptoms. This initial work was investigated by Dr. Lynch and colleagues, and over the past 13 years in clinical use and research, SGB has demonstrated great effectiveness in treating the symptoms of Anxiety and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Collaborate, Advocate, and Educate!

We recently visit the Magnus Veterans Foundation team located just outside of Minneapolis in Dayton, MN.

MVF founder Dr Shawn Alderman has developed a specialized facility and resources to improve veteran health and performance. The Wellness Campus sits on a beautiful 34-acre estate on Diamond Lake. The view as you enter the main building is breathtaking, even in the middle of winter!

MVF has found stellate ganglion block (SGB) to be a helpful addition to the care they provide for veterans’ brain health—PTSD, Anxiety, and TBI. In partnership with Veterans Airlift Command, MVF has referred several Minnesota veterans to our clinic in Maryland for expert SGB treatment.

Thank you MVF for trusting us with your patients. We truly value a partner like you who is as committed to taking care of our tribe as we are! 🇺🇸
