“Jodi and I just returned from Ukraine.”

“No words can adequately describe our experience treating Ukrainians with PTSD, but I’ll try here.”

“In my military career, I deployed multiple times overseas to combat zones, but I never fought on my own soil to protect my nation—my family, my home. The brave men and women of Ukraine have been under siege nonstop for 3+ years. War has taken its toll.”

“Last week we had the opportunity to treat many Ukrainian soldiers recovering from acute injuries of combat trauma, including several former POWs who suffered in Russian captivity.”

“I was blessed with the opportunity to share my expertise using Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) with Ukrainian clinicians at their PTSD center of excellence in Kyiv.”

“Together, we treated over 50 Ukrainian trauma survivors from all backgrounds. Their pain was palpable. So was their relief after SGB. The healing will continue under the care of their therapists.”

“We are already planning our next steps to build a sustainable SGB capability to help treat the nearly 2 million Ukrainian trauma survivors.”

“Much work to do.
Count on us!”

“Slava Ukraini!
Heroyam slava!” ~Dr. James Lynch

Thank you and for inviting us to share our experiences with your cohort of high achievers who are transitioning out of government service and elite athletics. Great event.

The enthusiasm was palpable.

As Malcolm Gladwell nicely describes, “Connectors” tend to be connected to many communities, and their strength is in bringing them together.

Karen, you are a connector.
Thanks for connecting us to some Great Americans!

How do I know my patients get better?

I’ve heard some outstanding answers from some. I have been impressed with the means some therapists and psychiatrists employ to ensure their patients/clients improve.
Shockingly to me; however, this is not universal.
Frankly, l’ve been amazed when the answer to these questions above are something like,
“Well, my treatment must work, because they keep coming back.” Hmmm. This makes me wonder...

How it started and an update on how it’s going…

We are so excited to share that Dr Lynch will be in the clinic Monday through Thursday beginning the week of August 11!

The need for expert SGB care has grown, so we have expanded our access to meet this demand.

We’ve not only increased our clinic hours, we have also added a new person to our team.

People deserve quality care, time, and a physician who listens. We know that people will travel for expert quality care—some from very far away. We know that taking care of one person at a time is a worthwhile endeavor and if we can relieve suffering every day for patients, then that is a successful day.

Excited for 4 successful days each week!!!

Dr. Jim recognizes the challenges that firefighters and their families have on a daily basis.

Firefighters are out risking themselves, to ensure our safety. There are a lot of parallels in their roles, to that of a special operator.

As a thank you, Dr. Lynch has generously donated 20 tickets to the Louden County Fire and Rescue team to attend the play, “Last Out, an elegy of a Green Beret”.

We thank you for your selfless contribution to your community and hope that you and your families enjoy the show!

What do Firefighters have in common with Special Forces members of the military? 🤔
