In honor of National Handwashing Week, Nurse Brittany shared why hand washing matters most, and this is what she had to say!

1️⃣ Wet your hands — Warm water, palm to palm 💦
2️⃣ Add soap — Get a good lather going 🧼
3️⃣ Scrub for 20 seconds — Palms, backs, between fingers, thumbs, nails… don’t miss a spot! ⏱️✨
4️⃣ Rinse thoroughly — Wash all those germs away 👋💧
5️⃣ Dry completely — Towel dry (germs love moisture!) 🌟
6️⃣ Use a clean towel to turn off the faucet — Keep those fresh hands fresh! 🧻✨
7️⃣ Sanitize when needed — If hands aren’t visibly dirty, sanitizer works too! 🧴

🩺 Why it matters: Proper hand hygiene prevents infections, protects our patients, and keeps our staff healthy. Clean hands save lives! 💖
