The Garberville Rotary Club had a fabulous night showing their support up in Ferndale at Ferndale Rotary Club annual Steak & Lobster fundraiser.
This annual fundraiser was complete with bingo, silent auctions, and all kinds of good fun. 🥩🦞🎉
President Marty of the Ferndale Cub reserved a table just for the Garberville Rotary Club.
Thank you Marty!
The food was outstanding!
They served over 520 people in just 32 minutes, and every plate hit the table steaming hot. Absolute pros.
An amazing evening all around and we’re already looking forward to next time! 👏✨

🌍✨ Garberville Rotary Club is Planting Peace! ✨🌍

We are honored to invite the community to the dedication of a Peace Pole at Garberville Town Square on Sunday, September 21st at 5:00 PM (pre-gathering & music starts at 4:30). 🎶💙

Peace Poles are international symbols of unity, compassion, and hope — with over 200,000 installed around the world. Ours will serve as a lasting reminder in the heart of Garberville to foster fellowship, empathy, and respect for all.

🎵 The Cronies will fill the square with music and lead us in singing Imagine together.
🕊️ Speakers include representatives from Rotary, the Town Square Board, the Eel River Wailaki, and community members sharing words about peace.

This event is free and open to all — please come join us in celebrating peace, community, and the spirit of Rotary. 💛🌿

We were thrilled to welcome District Governor Kristine Redko, who lit up the room with her vibrant spirit. She shared how she balanced raising twins while leading her club to earn Club of the Year and how she’s bringing both music and service into the heart of Rotary this year.

We were also pleased to welcome Marcus Schaible, owner of Emerald Realty and a local realtor, as our newest member. We look forward to the perspective and experience he will bring to our club.

In addition, we honored Jay Sooter with the Harmony Award, recognizing his uplifting spirit and steady leadership as he guided our club through the pandemic and contributed in many meaningful ways.

Last night, the Garberville Rotary Club gathered for our annual debunking ceremony — a cherished tradition where we celebrate leadership transitions and the spirit of service.

This year’s event was luau-themed and full of aloha spirit! We bid a heartfelt farewell to our outgoing president, Shawn, and expressed our gratitude for his incredible energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to community projects throughout the year. Under Shawn’s leadership, the club made a meaningful impact, and we are truly thankful for his service.

We also gave a warm welcome to our incoming president, Darrin, who is ready to take the helm and guide us into another exciting year of community service, connection, and collaboration.

A special thank-you goes out to Peter C and his team for preparing a fabulous Hawaiian-inspired meal that made the evening even more memorable.

Here’s to new beginnings and continuing the great work of Rotary in Southern Humboldt!
