This morning Emerson House Memory Care at River Pointe hosted some very special guests. We were visited by Medical Technology students from The Ambrose School in Meridian. Students, along with their teacher Mandy Moore, brought handmade cards for each of the residents and enjoyed lively breakfast conversations!

Today something very special happened at Emerson House Memory Care at River Pointe. Chaplain James of Geiss Hospice generously hosted our very first Remembersnce Circle. Staff, Family, Froends and Community Partners joined as we honored precious residents who have recently passed away. It was a time of reflection, storytelling, and love.

DESI VELASQUEZ ~ Med Tech

Desi Velasquez has served Emerson House Memory Care at River Pointe for an impressive FOURTEEN years! She began as a Caregiver and quickly discovered that her work with Memory Care residents was her career calling. It is her passion to professionally engage every resident with love and respect. Learning their life stories is her favorite part of her position. Assisting the residents daily is her biggest reward.
Desi is passionate about the resident care provided at Emerson House. She is an authentic communicator, dependable, and has a HUGE heart.

In Desi's off time she enjoys spending time shopping and playing video games with her daughter Kalia. Her cat Cocobean also brings her joy!
