🌟 Effective ways to treat back pain at work
✅ Standard posture
To support the natural curves of the S-shaped spine, place a rolled towel or a pillow directly behind your back. Keep your feet flat on the floor and adjust the chair height accordingly. The arm makes a 90° angle. Keep chair armrests lower or remove them altogether to keep shoulders low and, put less pressure on the back.
✅ Set the screen at the right level
Hold the screen at arm's length, at or slightly below eye level. This way, you will sit up straight without leaning forward thereby reducing stress on your neck and back.
✅ Answer the phone
During long conversations, always hold the phone in your hand, not on your shoulder, and alternate the right and left hand positions to avoid concentrated pressure on one side.
✅ Rest and exercise
8 hours of work sitting or standing in one position weakens back muscles. Take short breaks or proactively do chores instead of asking others to get a glass of water, get documents, etc. Alternate between sitting and standing. Occasionally, you can stretch your legs for a few seconds to relax.
