✨Meet the Team Monday✨

Today we’re excited to spotlight Samantha DiRosa, PT, DPT, Clinic Director of Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in Lake Ronkonkoma.

Sam first joined Metro as a student in 2019 and has grown tremendously since. She became Assistant Clinical Director in Selden in 2022, was named Schroth Program Director in 2023, and in 2024 stepped into her current role as Clinic Director in Lake Ronkonkoma.

Sam’s energy is contagious, and her commitment to both patient care and clinic culture makes a difference every single day. Whether she’s solving complex cases, sneaking a piece of chocolate between patients, or preparing for her “pickleball era,” Sam brings heart, humor, and skill to everything she does.

Get to know Sam 👋 and say hello in the comments!

Thank you, Sam, for your energy, leadership, and the impact you make every day, both inside and outside the clinic. We’re proud to have you as part of the Metro family.

We believe the Metro experience is so much more than the physical care a patient is receiving. Yes this is a major part of it, but the personal connection plays just as big a role.

This patient’s journey is a perfect example of what can happen when high quality care is backed by compassion, consistency, and connection.

“Kaitlyn has been a big influence on my life and she has helped me through a lot. My experience at Metro has been nothing short of extraordinary. Thank you Kaitlyn and the full Metro team for everything.”

We’re proud of the progress made and even prouder of the relationships built along the way.

Thank you for choosing Metro, and thank you to Kaitlyn and the Commack team for representing what our care is all about.

👋 Meet Metro Monday (on a Tuesday 🙈)

Today we’re spotlighting Joseph Giuliani, one of our amazing Clinical Directors. Joe leads our St. James location.

Joe joined Metro in 2022 and has been a driving force ever since. Whether he’s mentoring teammates, treating patients, or helping build clinic culture, Joe brings a “do whatever it takes” mindset that truly makes a difference.

❓ What inspired you to pursue a career in the physical therapy industry?
➡️ Physical therapy is one of the only jobs that gives you the chance to work consistently with the same people and see their results. Watching a patient progress week to week and month to month makes being a physical therapist the best job.

❓What do you love most about your job at Metro PT?
➡️ I love the support Metro provides to all its employees. Whenever someone needs help or wants to bounce around ideas, there’s always someone there to offer advice or assistance.

❓Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
➡️ Running, volleyball, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

❓What’s one fun fact people might not know about you?
➡️ I can name all 50 state capitals.

❓What’s your favorite quote or motto?
➡️ “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”

❓What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone considering working at Metro?
➡️ Be okay with not being okay. You’ll have a great support system around you to help guide you and grow as a physical therapist.

❓What do you enjoy most about being part of the Metro PT team?
➡️ I enjoy being part of a team where there’s a strong emphasis on growth within the culture.

Thanks for everything you do, Joe! 💪 We’re proud to have leaders like you setting the tone for what it means to be part of the Metro family.

Our Story

We want to help build a better YOU! Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy, established in 1982 by Sherrie Glasser, M.S. P.T, is Long Island’s oldest family owned and operated Physical Therapy practice. Metro PT has heated salter water pools, full fitness centers, and certified manual therapists. Our therapists spend 60+ minutes with every single patient and our patient outcomes are high because of how experienced our therapists are. We do not overbook appointments with other patients and do not use assistants for treatments.

We also offer affordable wellness programs if and when insurance exhausts. Our classes include Mat Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga, Silver Sneakers, and Dance for Parkinson's. We also offer personal training and gym memberships. Our state-of-the-art fitness centers allow patients to stay "in therapy" at a lower price than most copays.
