Although NYU Winthrop Orthopedics never closed, there are plans in place to begin ramping up our abilities to see patients for their Orthopedic needs. We will be checking temperatures of all patients and as per the mandate from NYS and Governor Cuomo, all patients must wear a mask when being seen in the office. NYU is also preparing to begin elective surgeries in the upcoming months. Urgent elective cases will possibly begin in May and elective cases to hopefully follow!
We will continue to leverage our virtual health capabilities for our patients with non-urgent issues that may not want to come to the office as it is a very effective and safe tool.
This is all good news! Remember to continue practicing social distancing and stay safe!
