Accelacare Physical Therapy

Accelacare Physical Therapy Accelacare Physical Therapy is Garden City's Premier Provider of Outpatient Physical Therapy Have you heard that we offer a In house payment treatment plan.

Accelacare Physical Therapy is a privately owned physical therapy practice founded in 2007. We specialize in musculoskeletal disorders and offer a hands-on approach for treatment to correct bio-mechanical faults in joint mobility, muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. Our clinicians have advanced training in orthopaedic manual therapy for the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic problems. This advanced training allows for the cause of our patients' dysfunctions to be more easily identified and to be corrected with education, exercise and manual therapy techniques. We pride ourselves on being movement experts that identify and correct the original cause of our patients' problems so that surgery, injections and long-term medication use can be avoided if possible. Accelacare Physical Therapy received the 2010 Kansas Small Business Development Center Emerging Business of the Year Award for Southwest Kansas. DID YOU KNOW: A doctor’s referral is no longer required to be treated by a physical therapist. We do Provide a Spanish Interpreter for your needs.*******

If simple remedies such as rest, medication or spinal adjustments have not alleviated your aches and pain, maybe there’s something more complicated going on. The cause of many aches and pains are often due to muscle imbalances that develop from poor posture or repetitive movements that are present in our everyday routines. Pain that is due to muscle imbalances usually requires specific retraining and often doesn’t respond as well to simple remedies that don’t address the cause of the problem. Let the movement experts at Accelacare Physical therapy determine the cause of your problem and help you find a long-term solution to your pain.

(re-)Introducing Dr. Kristi Nguyen, DPT!

Kristi joined Accelacare last April from the University of St. Mary's DPT program, after completing a clinical rotation with us in 2024. In her short time with Accelacare, Kristi has already helped us expand our specialties in Women's Health, and is planning to complete training in Lymphadema Therapy as well - so keep an eye out as there will be more news on that front soon!

Kristi hails from Florida, but has quickly developed a love for our Garden City community. She has been a wonderful addition to the Accelacare team, and we wanted you to hear from her directly about how she's helping patients and the Southwest Kansas community get and stay healthy - check out the video below for more.

Dr. Morren has been a long-time partner in caring for the Garden City community, and we're grateful for his contribution and commitment to the health of our shared patients over the past 10 years.

What stood out to us most throughout our partnership was his collaborative approach. Dr. Morren recognized that we could collectively achieve the best outcomes for our patients by working together. He opened the door to us at Accelacare to help us understand his approach through surgery observations and debriefs and built an understanding of our practice through clinic visits and follow-up discussions about our shared cases.

He set a high standard for teamwork in the pursuit of patient care, and we appreciate the opportunity we had to learn from and work with him throughout his time in Garden City.

Dr. Morren, we wish you all the best in your next endeavor - you will be missed, and we hope you come back and visit us whenever you can!

If you hate the winter (which is finally here!) because the snow and ice makes you worry about losing your balance or slipping and falling, call Accelacare!

Most people don’t know that our balance has a lot to do with how strong we are - or that physical therapy can help. Our physical therapist will have an in-depth conversation with us and perform tests to understand why we lose our balance. They will then build a complete recovery plan that combines specific exercises to build up strength with drills that can retrain our bodies and rebuild our balance so that we don’t lose it again.

Use physical therapy to conquer the frightful weather and do something delightful (like making a snowman)! Use the QR code below or call Accelacare at 620-271-0700 to schedule an appointment today!

WEATHER UPDATE (1/9/26, 3 P.M.): It's full-on snow globe out there! ❄️ While it looks like a winter wonderland, roads are slick and hazardous. City crews are working hard to clear main streets and sidewalks, and our first responders have already handled motorist assists, multiple slide-offs and accidents - mainly in the county. Additionally, the majority of highways across southwest Kansas are snow packed and icy.

Please limit your travel as much as possible and stay home. If you must go out, slow down and drive for conditions, stay alert, and allow extra space between vehicles.

Stay safe and warm, Garden City!

Please welcome our first student from Duke University, Sammy Kim!

Sammy comes to us from sunny California and Colorado, and brings with her a passion for physical therapy and a desire to soak up as much as she can! We hope her sunny disposition makes up for her support for the Blue Devils!

If you see her around the community or in the clinic, please be sure to give her a warm welcome!

Hello, my name is Sammy Kim, and I am currently a third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Duke University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Religion from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, I worked in project management at a small startup company, where I developed strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

I am excited to be completing my final 12-week clinical rotation at Accelarcare, where I hope to further develop my clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills while serving and supporting the Garden City, KS community. I am passionate about ensuring that my patients feel seen and heard during each session, and I strive to provide them with the tools needed to reach their goals and overcome barriers to returning to meaningful activities.I am Pelvic Floor Level 1 certified, trained in sports performance coaching, and have experience working with Sports, Workers comp, neurological populations,TMD, post-concussion care, and vestibular dysfunction.

I grew up between Southern California and Colorado. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy running ultramarathons, backpacking and camping, hiking with my Colorado Mountain dog, Kida (key-duh), playing and watching sports (I’m competitive, GO DUKE!), lifting weights, and karaoking and binge watching TV shows with my fiance.
