Unfortunately, as a therapist I do love… all of the above

From quoting Inside Out like it’s peer-reviewed research, to keeping way too many fidget toys ‘for my clients’ (but actually for me), to celebrating tiny wins that feel enormous, I’m owning the quirks that come with this work.

Therapy is serious, meaningful, and often really tough… but it’s also human, playful, and sometimes even funny. These little moments remind me why I love what I do.

If you enjoy therapist confessions, mental health insights, and some real talk about the ups & downs of the work.. follow along for more !

You don’t have to pour from an empty cup. 💛

Living with chronic illness often means balancing what others expect from you with what your body and mind actually need. Setting boundaries, saying no, and prioritizing rest doesn’t make you selfish — it makes you resilient.

Swipe to see how you can protect your energy while staying connected, confident, and cared for.

✨ Remember: Your needs are valid. Your energy is precious.

✨ Let me reintroduce myself ✨

Hi there! I’m Lindsay and I’m a chronic illness therapist who helps young adults navigate life with a chronic illness and everything that comes with it: medical trauma, new diagnoses, medication management, grief, and so much more.

Many of my clients also face the intersection of chronic illness and eating disorders — something I have extensive experience treating. My background includes years of working in hospitals across the country, and I also live with a chronic illness myself. That means I bring both professional expertise and a lived understanding to our sessions.

Think of me as the therapist you don’t have to explain every little medical detail to — I just get it.

Outside of therapy, I’m a mom of two (plus a dog and a cat), a coffee devotee, sushi enthusiast, and someone who could happily spend days reading during a snowstorm. Chronic illness advocacy isn’t just part of my work — it’s my passion.

I’m so glad you’re here. 💛 Follow along to be part of an incredibly supportive (and fierce) community of people who actually get it — no toxic positivity, just real connection.

📅 Schedule a consult today via the link in bio — let’s create a space where you feel understood, supported, and ready to navigate life on your terms.

You can say no to these things and still be a good friend, partner, employee, human 👇

If you’re living with chronic illness, you’ve probably been told (directly or indirectly) that your needs are “too much.” But honoring your limits isn’t a weakness—it’s wisdom.

It’s my birthday 🎂♋️ and as a Cancer, I feel everything deeply which is probably why I’ve spent years pretending this day didn’t exist. I’d rather fade into the background than take up space. But not this year. This year, I’m letting myself be seen, celebrated, and soft all at once. Here’s to growth, feeling it all, and not hiding from the light anymore.

If you’re on your own healing or self-discovery journey, follow along! We’re in this together. 🫶🏻

My birthday month is here.
And honestly… I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with July because of it.

The pressure to feel amazing.
To do something big.
To be surrounded by people.
To be happy.

But this year, I’m shifting the narrative.
No pressure. No expectations. Just showing up as I am.

If it’s soft and simple, that’s enough.
If it’s quiet, that counts.
If it’s restful, that’s a celebration.

Here’s to doing my birthday differently this year and maybe even liking July again. 🍊

What we see on the outside doesn’t always match what’s happening on the inside. A smile or a “I’m fine” can mask self-critical thoughts, overthinking, and the constant juggling act of managing both physical and emotional challenges.

For example, while someone might appear perfectly okay on the outside, they could be struggling with sensory overload, anxiety, or the guilt of needing to rest when others don’t understand.

Chronic illness affects more than just the body—it impacts our mental health in ways that are hard to see. So, next time you check in with someone, remember: It’s okay if their outside doesn’t reflect what’s happening on the inside. 💛

You’re not alone in feeling like this. Let’s support each other in these invisible battles. 🙌

Follow me for more on how chronic illness affects mental health and how we can support each other in the process.

Chronic illness and anxiety can make it harder to keep up with the fast pace of life, and that’s completely okay. It’s easy to compare yourself to others and feel like you’re falling behind, but remember that everyone has their own path and rhythm. By honoring your body’s limits and listening to its cues, you’re preserving your energy for what really matters. Your pace is just as valid as anyone else’s, and learning to honor it is a vital part of self-care.

💡 Fact: Trying to keep up with others when you’re feeling unwell can exacerbate symptoms and cause unnecessary stress. Moving at your own pace allows for a more sustainable lifestyle and helps prevent physical and mental burnout.

✨ Reminder: Your journey is your own—don’t compare it to anyone else’s. Your pace is exactly where you need to be.

Rest isn’t a setback—it’s a season. ❄️ Just like winter, we all go through times of slowing down, reflecting, and restoring our energy. Honoring your body’s needs isn’t weakness; it’s wisdom. 💙

If you’re in a slower season right now, know that growth is still happening beneath the surface. Give yourself grace.
