Card making is always a treat, especially because we have our amazing volunteer (and friend) Sharon with us! She brings all the supplies- and all the smiles!! Who says exercise is just for the body? Today we exercised our minds with a fun game called ‘Animals’, created by our friend (and one of the longest residents at Avista) Don! It was so much fun guessing, laughing, and learning how to play it together. Activities like this aren’t just entertaining - they help keep our minds sharp and our spirits connected. Staying mentally active and socially engaged is one of the best ways to support healthy aging 💚💛

What starts as a scenic drive sometimes becomes something truly unforgettable 💖
The other day, we took our residents out to enjoy the changing leaves and fresh autumn air. Along the way, we made a meaningful stop at the Veterans Cemetery. As we drove and walked the quiet paths, one of our residents discovered a deeply personal spot - a place of remembrance and connection. It was a powerful moment, filled with reflection, emotion, and honor. These are the moments that remind us how special it is to walk alongside our residents - not just in their daily routines, but in the stories and memories that shaped their lives 🥰🌸
