Employee of the month for March!!!! Congrats 🙌 Sara! She is Avista’s housekeeper and this month our residents elected her as employee of the month. Sara says that her family inspires her to be great at work, her favorite colors are navy blue and metal gray (she’d like to have a Toyota forerunner in that color), and one of her favorite things to eat is pasta 🍝! She has been working at Avista for about 1 year 🤩🙌🌟 ❤️

During craft time at our community, it’s not just about creating something beautiful or unique- it’s about the conversations, the laughs, the big mess we all make together 😁, and the connections that happen around the table. Neighbors become friends, stories are shared, and creativity brings extra joy to our day (getting chocolate for participating helps too 😉😆).

Today’s craft was full of creativity and a little bit of magic ✨ Wr decorated flower pots, planted seeds of wildflowers, and created our own tiny enchanted fairy gardens. Each one turned out so unique and beautiful 😍! It was a joy to see everyone’s imagination come to life. Now we can’t wait to watch the flowers 🌷 grow and see these little gardens bloom 🪴

Music is truly good for the soul and the heart 💚🎤🎶🎼 We are so lucky to have, at Avista Garden City, to have 2 or More (Gary and Keh) regularly come and sing for our residents. Music has a powerful way of lifting spirits, sparking memories, reducing stress, and bringing joy to everyone in the room. You can hear the singing along, see the smiles, and feel the connection it creates. We are so grateful that Gary and Keh share their talent with us 💚🙌

Every week we have a special day when we play Brain Games at Avista 💚
This week, we put our thinking caps on and played Dominoes- a fun way to challenge the brain while strengthening memory, focus, and problem solving skills. Games like these also help with hand-eye coordination and encourage social interaction , laughter, and friendly competition 😁
Staying mentally active doesn’t have to feel like work - especially when it’s this much fun 💚🥰
